Visiting the website

This website is hosted by STRATO AG, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany, which provides it on our behalf (Art. 28 GDPR). When you open a page, your browser technically transmits, among other things, your IP address, the date and time, the requested address, the previously visited page (referrer) and your browser and operating system.

The web server stores this information in access logs, with the IP address only in anonymized form. The logs are deleted after six weeks. The purpose is the secure and trouble-free operation of the website; the legal basis is our legitimate interest in this (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

No cookies, no tracking

We do not use cookies, analytics or advertising services, or social media plugins. Fonts and images are hosted on our own server; no data is transferred to third parties such as Google when you visit the website.

Contact by email

If you send us an email, we process your address and the information you provide in order to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if it concerns a contract or its preparation, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We delete the messages once they have been dealt with and no statutory retention obligations apply.

Purchases

Purchases on our German website and the related processing of your data are described in the German privacy policy. In-app purchases in Holidays on Desktop are handled entirely by Microsoft; see the privacy policy for Holidays on Desktop.

Your rights

You have the right to access the data we hold about you, and to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability (Art. 15 to 20 GDPR). Where we process data on the basis of a legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you can object to this at any time (Art. 21 GDPR). You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future. An email to m.gruosso@bit-bite.de is sufficient.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Baden-Württemberg, Lautenschlagerstraße 20, 70173 Stuttgart, Germany.

No automated decision-making takes place.
